A Momentous Revolution Shaping the World!!!
The Neolithic Period was a transition from an unstable lifestyle to a settled community. It was a very major revolution also termed as the Agricultural Revolution. The people began understanding the way to fulfil and satisfy their needs. This led to a very impactful growth in the agricultural sector. Hunter-gatherers lessened the killing of animals and began devoting their time to Agricultural practices. They invented various sophisticated tools such as scrapers, blades, ploughs, hammers etc. Mainly, they cultivated wheat, barley and lentils. Along with farming, people also started rearing cattle, sheep and goat. They also domesticated various tame animals. There are evidences of dogs being buried with their owners in graves at Burzahom. Around 5000 B.C, Pottery, Weaving and Transportation of goods became popular activities in which people could engage and earn a good living.
